The Core

At it’s core ticker2wiki is a search engine for Wikipedia links. You enter a ticker, press Search and you get a Wikipedia link back. You also get all of the information we extracted about the company. Check it out!

Details

Right now many new features are upcoming, but the biggest one is Company details.

DEEETAAAAILS!

You get directed to a page with all info we found about the company:

Overview is the basic financial identifiers for the company like the full name from the exchange it’s listed on, the year and origin of it’s IPO, the sector and industry. Right next to it is the quick overview from Wikipedia(infobox in Wikipedia terms).

Down from there:

On the left is Wikipedia metadata like when was the company page created and when was it last updated. This is indicative of how fresh things are.

Next to it is an upcoming feature — the composite indicators. These will be scores in regards to popularity of the article, quality and freshness. This will help you make better decisions and hopefully make you more money.

What’s next ?

You tell us! There is a looong list of features that must get implemented like advanced search suggestions, user curated entries, more metadata from Wikipedia, but we would really like to hear from you what can make your experience better. Don’t hesitate to reach out. There’s also a quick and easy way to do this. Just go to the bottom of any page:
